Q:
Do you make all your handbags
yourself?
A: I do make all my handbags from start to finish. Some
handbags take me weeks to finish and some I can whip up in a day. It
depends on my mood and my inspiration. Each fabric is handpicked
with you in mind. My goal is to offer enough variety so everyone
will find a style they love. Popular styles will stick around,
others may come and go!
Q:
Can you make the same bag twice?
A: I think you could say I love variety. I think I would be bored
making the same bag over and over. So you may see similar fabrics on
some of my handbags, but never the same bag twice. It would be rare.
Q:
Can you make custom order bags?
A: Of course I could, however I like the freedom of
designing what inspires me.
I love the no pressure aspect too much to move into custom orders,
for now. Remember, that’s why I
left sales. If I started taking custom orders I may just be taking
the joy out of my passion. So for now, I hope you find one you love.
If not now come back again. I will always have fresh new designs.
Q:
How long have you been designing
handbags?
A: I would love to tell you all my life. But, I have been
designing handbags since 2003. 10 -15 years from now I look forward to
saying I
have been designing for a long time. I have a long-term vision for this
company and right now it is in its infant years. So, I have so many
more years to create and design and hopefully teach my daughter how
to sew and have her by my side.
Q:
What’s up with all the weird
names for your bags?
A: Well... do they sound familiar to you at all?…ok
ok I’ll tell.
The names are song titles from the 80’s. What can I say; I’m a
product of the 80’s generation. The music inspires me. 80’s hits
is what I roller blade to, its what I sing in my car when no one
is watching (I hope) and its perfect for naming my bags.
I actually
have fun naming them.
Q:
Who built your website?
A: It has evolved a lot since the beginning, but for our
redesign (Oct 06) I am the sole designer of the
site.
But, I had two very talented good friends, Kim West and
Lauren Dean, that were gracious enough to help me at the start.
Q:
Who takes your photos?
A: I take my photos myself and getting better at photo
techniques everyday. I use Photoshop Elements to
crop and edit. The photos depict the handbags to the best of their
ability. I can assure you that your handbag will look even better in
person.
